MOLTON BROWN PAPER FLOWER MASTERCLASS

A Blooming Success: Crafting Paper Flowers at Molton Brown Edinburgh

This past Saturday, amidst the whirlwind of the Edinburgh Festival, the Molton Brown Edinburgh store was transformed into a haven of creativity and floral delight. Despite the bustling city scene, I hosted a charming paper flower master class that brought together a lovely group of participants for an evening of artistic expression and sensory indulgence.

As attendees arrived, they were greeted with the warm, inviting aroma of Molton Brown’s signature fragrances as well as a glass of prosecco. The event began with a captivating introduction by a master perfumer, who shared fascinating insights into the fragrance of orange and bergamot. This aromatic journey was more than just a sensory treat; it set the stage for the evening's activities by connecting the beauty of scent with the artistry of paper crafting.

With a newfound appreciation for the citrusy freshness of orange and the zesty notes of bergamot, participants delved into the hands-on portion of the master class. Guided by myself, they learned the delicate art of crafting paper orange blossom flowers. Each participant meticulously folded, shaped, and assembled their blooms, transforming simple sheets of paper into vibrant, lifelike flowers.

The workshop wasn't just about creating individual pieces; it was about coming together to craft something beautiful. Once everyone had their flowers ready, we moved on to the final stage: assembling them into stunning wreaths. The room buzzed with creativity as each wreath began to take shape, adorned with a unique arrangement of orange blossoms and a touch of personal flair from each participant.

Despite the festival's vibrant chaos just outside our doors, the atmosphere inside was serene and focused. The master class was a testament to the fact that even amidst the busiest of times, there’s always a space for creativity and calm.

As the event came to a close, it was clear that everyone left with more than just a beautiful wreath; they carried with them a sense of accomplishment, a touch of floral artistry, and perhaps even a new appreciation for the art of fragrance and crafting.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on this blooming adventure and made it a day to remember. Your enthusiasm and creativity truly made the event special. If you missed out this time, keep an eye on our upcoming events—we'd love to have you join us for another delightful experience in the future!

Until then, may your days be as vibrant and fragrant as the paper flowers we created together.
