Bringing Edinburgh Gin to Life with Giant Paper Botanicals

I recently had the pleasure of working on a project for Edinburgh Gin, creating two intricate paper art displays that showcased the botanicals used in their gin. This was such a fun and immersive project, bringing together nature, craft, and a bit of creativity!

Each display featured giant paper chamomile, sweet verbena, elderflower, lavender, and juniper—all key ingredients in Edinburgh Gin’s beautifully crafted spirits. These flowers were at the heart of both designs, setting the tone for a lush, botanical-inspired scene.

For the first display, I added giant paper butterflies and bees, giving it a lively and dynamic feel, as if the pollinators were fluttering around the florals. To complement the natural elements, I also created giant paper lemons and mulberries, tying in citrusy and fruity notes that align with the flavours of the gin.

The second display followed a similar theme but with its own unique twist. Alongside the giant paper flowers, I incorporated giant paper dragonflies, a delicate paper hummingbird, and a mix of giant paper lemons and strawberries. This gave the installation a fresh, summery energy, making it feel like a snapshot of a flourishing botanical garden.

From the initial concept to the final installation, the entire project took around three weeks to complete. Every piece was carefully crafted by hand, with attention to detail in each petal, leaf, and wing.

Seeing it all come together was incredibly rewarding, and I loved how the displays captured the essence of Edinburgh Gin’s botanical-rich brand.

This project was such a joy to work on, and I’m so excited to share it! Let me know what you think—I'd love to hear your thoughts!
